Apart from substantial areas of turbary, mountain and rough grazing, etc., the Land Commission had on hands, by way of good quality land, at 31st March, 1960, 1961 and 1962 an approximate aggregate area of 37,500 acres, 33,500 acres and 39,000 acres, respectively, for use as a working pool for land settlement.
