The insured person concerned was in receipt of unemployment assistance almost continuously from January, 1962 to the 27th May, 1963. For the purpose of his claim he signed the unemployed register each week at the local office of the Department as an unemployed man who was available for and capable of work. He claimed disability benefit from 20th May, 1963 and payment of benefit at the maximum rate appropriate to a single man without dependants is being made to him.
