andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Education the names of the persons nominated by him to serve in positions carrying remuneration, other than out of pocket expenses, on commissions, industrial, assurance, semi-State or other similar concerns, the amounts received annually in respect of each appointment, and the name of the concern to which the appointment was made during the years 1957 to date.

No such person has been nominated by me within the period specified in the Deputy's question.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Defence the names of the persons nominated by him to serve in positions carrying remuneration, other than out of pocket expenses, on commissions, industrial, assurance, semi-State or other similar concerns, the amounts received annually in respect of each appointment, and the name of the concern to which the appointment was made during the years 1957 to date.

The only body to which the Deputies' question may refer and for which I have responsibility is the Army Pensions Board set up under Sections 5 and 6 of the Army Pensions Act, 1927.

The only member nominated to this Board since 1957 is Lt. Cor. Roibeárd O h-Iomhair, Cór Liachta an Airm, who was appointed on 12/3/62 in place of an officer of similar rank who retired on age grounds. He is in receipt of remuneration of £2,303 inclusive per annum plus uniform allowance of £39 per annum.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Justice the names of the persons nominated by him to serve in positions carrying remuneration, other than out of pocket expenses, on commissions, industrial, assurance, semi-State or other similar concerns, the amounts received annually in respect of each appointment, and the name of the concern to which the appointment was made during the years 1957 to date.

There are no such persons.
