Erin Foods Ltd. is being set up as a subsidiary of Cómhlucht Siúicre Eireann Teoranta to concentrate on the important food processing project initiated by the latter company. The new company will determine production and marketing policy but actual food production will be carried out by Cómhlucht Siúicre Eireann Teoranta and will be fully integrated with the sugar business; Cómhlucht Siúicre Eireann Teoranta will also be responsible for relations with farmers, transport, research and the technical and administrative services at production level and will make appropriate agency charges for their services to Erin Foods Ltd.
I understand that the directors of the new company have not yet been appointed but that the necessary arrangements in this connection are expected to be completed very shortly.
