In the course of the last twelve months, much progress has been made in these matters, especially by the introduction of the new parking bye-laws last April. At the present time, the Garda Síochána are preparing, in consultation with the other authorities concerned, a number of far-reaching proposals to ease the situation. These measures include the introduction of two traffic circuses and a fairly comprehensive system of one-way streets in the central city area. It is hoped to bring these measures into operation by the middle of March.
