asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total number of persons notified as suffering from bronchitis to an extent sufficient to warrant their certification as not being fit for work, and the total number of days lost from work represented by such certification in each of the years 1950, 1955, 1960 and 1963.

The information requested by the Deputy is not available. The only information available in this field is in respect of insured workers claiming disability benefit during the benefit years 1956/7, 1957/8, 1960/61 and 1961/62 who were certified as being incapable of work by reason of bronchitis. This is set out in the form of a tabular statement which I propose, a Cheann Comhairle, with your permission to circulate with the Official Report.
