asked the Minister for Local Government how the additional relief of rates on agricultural land allowed in the Budget will be implemented.
I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 15 and 16 together.
A Bill to amend the Rates on Agricultural Land (Relief) Acts to provide for the allocation of the additional grant announced in the Budget statement will be introduced shortly. It is intended that the new reliefs will have effect as from 1st April, 1964.
The Minister for Finance, when introducing the Budget, said they would restore the 1956-57 position in regard to the demand for rates on agricultural land. Will that apply to each individual holding, regardless of its size?
It is a very tall question and I have not a tall answer for it.

It will restore the net total rates on agricultural land at least to the level of 1956-57.
