Vol. 213 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Trade Talks with Britain.

1.

asked the Taoiseach whether any date has been yet fixed for the proposed trade talks with Britain for the negotiating of a new trade agreement.

We are in communication with the British Government with a view to arranging a mutually convenient date.

Is it intended ad interim to ask the British Government to make concessions to our exporters similar to those proposed for the EFTA exporters?

I think the Deputy has a question on that subject on tomorrow's Order Paper.

The Taoiseach prefers to leave that over till tomorrow.
