Vol. 214 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Offaly Estate.

93.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will take steps to acquire for division amongst many local smallholders the estate of Feeny, Dovehill, Kilcormac, County Offaly, comprising 120 acres, which is set to a farmer who has 500 acres already; and if suitable action will be taken without delay in this case.

These lands are the subject of inquiries by the Land Commission to ascertain their suitability for the purposes of the Land Acts. Until these inquiries are completed, it is not possible to state what action will be taken in regard to the lands.
