asked the Minister for Local Government at what date he expects to sanction the proposal submitted to him by Kerry County Council for a further scheme of houses at Castleisland; and whether in view of the fact that there are a large number of applicants for the proposed houses, who have been certified by the County Medical Officer of Health as living in unfit housing conditions, he will expedite a decision on this matter.

Outline proposals for the development of a housing site at Pound Lane, Castleisland, were received in my Department on 8th December, 1964, and are in course of examination. A decision on the proposals will be conveyed to the local authority as soon as possible.
