Vol. 214 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Vacant Beds in Loughrea County Home.

4.

asked the Minister for Health the number of vacant beds in Saint Brendan's County Home, Loughrea, County Galway, during the period 1st February, 1965, to 15th February, 1965.

There were no vacant beds in the institution in the period mentioned.

Does the Minister say there were no vacant beds in this county home——

In the period mentioned.

Will the Minister state what he intends to do for the destitute? Is that not a great record for Fianna Fáil?

That is a separate matter.

I am glad the Deputy mentioned that. The reason there were no vacant beds was that there were fewer deaths this year than last year. People now have something to live for.

The county home is bursting at the seams. Economic expansion, how are you!
