Vol. 214 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Siting of Dublin Factory.

29.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Local Government whether a structure and factory at a site between Sites 227 and 233, Cabra Road, Dublin, were approved of by the Dublin Corporation; and, if not, if he will say what steps will now be taken by the Corporation to secure their removal in accordance with the wishes of the owners of adjoining private residences.

It is assumed that the Deputy's question relates to the erection of structures in connection with a proposed bulk cement depot at Carnlough Road, Cabra. Dublin Corporation made orders on the 22nd October and 27th November, 1964, refusing planning permission for the proposed development. Appeals were subsequently made to me against these decisions. Pending the determination of the appeals by me, it would not be appropriate for the Corporation to take any action to secure the removal of the structures already erected on the site.

Is it possible to say when the appeals will be determined?

I do not think so. I do not know when they will be determined.
