Military service pensions are payable at the rates set out in the Military Service Pensions Acts and are based on the active service of the pensioner and his grade or rank as determined by the Board of Assessors or the Referee. The Acts do not permit of the payment of minimum pensions on the lines suggested by the Deputy and it is not proposed to make provision on these lines.
