Vol. 215 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bray Road Speed Limits.

22.

asked the Minister for Local Government what revised speed limits it is proposed to introduce on the Dublin-Bray Road; and the various limits in each area.

The present speed limit from Donnybrook to Stillorgan is 40 miles an hour. A 30 miles an hour limit applies through Stillorgan village, and at Shankill and at the approach to Bray.

Under the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (Amendment) Regulations, 1965, which come into force on 1st June, the 30 miles an hour zone is being extended slightly on the approach to Stillorgan village and the 40 miles an hour zone will be reduced accordingly. Limits of 30 miles an hour are to be introduced at Cabinteely and Foxrock-Cornelscourt.
