Vol. 216 No. 7

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business as set out on the Order Paper in the following order: No. 1, No. 12—Votes 28 to 34, inclusive, Votes 42, 43, and 44—and Nos. 8 and 9. No. 8 is to be taken in conjunction with Votes 28 to 34, and No. 9 in conjunction with Votes 43 and 44. Questions will be taken at 2.30 p.m.

I understand that there has been some discussion on the timetable. The Taoiseach will appreciate that one of the major pieces of legislation that is holding up arrangements about the timetable is the Finance Bill. Would it be possible for him to expedite its issue?

I still hope it will be available before this weekend.

Could the Taoiseach not do any better?

The Deputy will appreciate that the drafting of a Finance Bill is a most meticulous matter which has to be carefully considered.

I appreciate that on this occasion it is probably more difficult than it was in recent years. Would it be possible to issue stencilled copies?

I am fairly confident it will be available this weekend.

We gave notice that we would like to raise a certain matter and I should like to know when it will be taken?

After Private Business.

When will that be?

Deputy Dunne asked a question. Would the Ceann Comhairle tell him when Private Business will be over?

When Item No. 1 is over.

When is that likely to be?

The Taoiseach does not intend to allow Nos. 2 and 3 to be moved to-day? The Taoiseach made a promise a fortnight ago that he would.

Would what?

Allow Nos. 2 and 3 to be moved.

I thought the Deputy asked for them for next week.

I will put them down for Tuesday next.
