(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Lands if he will list the bodies in the State under the aegis of his Department which are entitled to issue grants direct, stating the type of grant in each case.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Issue of Grants.
63.
In so far as my Department may be concerned, the reply is as follows:—
Grants are made by (a) the Land Commission—in connection with housing and general estate improvements (roads, fencing, field drainage, embankments and turbary development); (b) the Forestry Division—for private planting purposes.
Grants for the preservation and improvement of game resources are also made by my Department to assist regional game councils in carrying out approved locally-organised schemes of direct improvement of game.
