I understand that the proposal for the erection of a food processing factory at Laragh, Bandon, County Cork, by Comhlucht Siúicre Éireann Teoranta is dependent on the collection of capital from prospective producers of fruit and vegetables and that such capital has not been subscribed. I am also given to understand that it is only when the processing plants at Skibbereen and in County Kerry, for which capital has already been fully subscribed, are in production that consideration can be given by the company to the erection of similar units in other areas.
