Committee on Finance. - Housing Bill, 1965: Financial Resolution.

I move:—

That it is expedient to make provision for the repeal of section 23 of the Labourers (Ireland) Act, 1906, and section 10 of the Irish Land Act, 1909 (under which it is provided that no stamp duty shall be payable on any instruments made or issued under the Labourers Acts, 1883 to 1962, or in certain securities given by a county council) and for the payment of fees in relation to the determination by the Minister for Local Government of any doubt, dispute or question as respects the structural condition of a cottage or other dwelling under any Act of the present session to make further and better provision with respect to housing and, in particular, with respect to the provision of loans and grants by the State and by local authorities in relation to housing, for that purpose to consolidate with amendments certain enactments relating to housing, to amend certain other enactments and to make provision with respect to other matters connected with the matters afore-said.
