Vol. 219 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin City Architect.

13.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Minister for Local Government when it is proposed to appoint a full-time city architect for the city of Dublin: and whether any steps have been taken to advertise the position.

Dublin Corporation have requested the Local Appointments Commissioners to recommend a person for appointment to the office of city architect. New qualifications and particulars of office proposed by the corporation for the post are being examined in my Department and this examination will be completed at an early date. In the meantime the Commissioners have deferred advertising the vacancy.

Mr. O'Leary

Do I gather that this post will be advertised over the next few months?

In the meantime it is deferred, pending the examination of the qualifications.

Mr. O'Leary

Can the Parliamentary Secretary tell us when this examination will take place?
