No appointment has yet been made to the unestablished position of professional accountant in the prices section of my Department.
How is it that Iris Oifigiúil recently had an announcement to the effect that one would be appointed? What salary is it proposed to pay the proposed appointee?
If the Deputy will look at the notice again, he will find that it is an exclusion appointment by the Local Appointments Commission which means that the appointment may be made directly by the Minister. It was not a detailed announcement.
