asked the Minister for Education the number of new primary and vocational schools at present scheduled for erection in Dublin city; and the number to be rebuilt or renovated and their locations.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Education if he will list the new school building projects (a) under consideration, (b) under construction, and (c) accepted by his Department with reference to Tipperary South Riding; and what stage each project has reached.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Education if he will list the schools in Tipperary South Riding (a) which are under consideration, (b) in respect of which reconstruction or repair work is in progress, and (c) which have been accepted for reconstruction grants; and if he can state what stage each project has reached.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 175 and 176 together, and to circulate for inclusion in the Official Report a statement giving the information requested by the Deputy.

Killenaule Vocational School extension —under consideration in connection with the Department's general survey of post-primary education.

1. Carrick-on-Suir new Vocational School (replacement ment for existing school); committee was authorised on 13/9/65 to have revised sketch-plans prepared and these plans are awaited.

2. Tipperary new Vocational School (replacement of existing school)—approved in principle by the Department on 25/11/64. The Department awaits the Committee's proposals concerning a site and the schedule of accommodation.

Secondary Schools

In so far as the secondary schools are concerned, such projects would come before the Department of Education only where a building grant was sought in respect of a new school building or a major extension to an existing building.

No proposal in this regard in relation to County Tipperary South Riding is at present before the Department of Education.
