Particulars of actual petrol consumption are not available from official records. However, the following quantities of mineral hydrocarbon light oil on which duty was paid approximate to petrol consumption for the years indicated. More than 99 per cent of mineral hydrocarbon light oil on which duty is paid consists of petrol.
