Vol. 220 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Water Supplies.

39.

asked the Minister for Local Government what progress has been made in the matter of providing a piped water supply for a number of householders at Termon, County Donegal from the Lough Salt pipeline; and when work is likely to commence.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply given on 24th November, 1965, to a previous question on this scheme. The extent of this scheme has been settled in discussions during the past fortnight, between inspectors from my Department and the group promoter, at about 25 houses. The group are now awaiting quotations for materials, etc. and it is hoped to commence work when satisfactory tenders are received.

40.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of the Glenties-Ardara water supply, County Donegal (a) the date a tender was submitted to his Department for approval, (b) the date the loan was applied for, and (c) the dates on which both were sanctioned.

Donegal County Council's proposal for the acceptance of a tender for this scheme was submitted to my Department on 14th September, 1965. Application for a loan was submitted on 5th October, 1965. Both proposals are under examination.
