Vol. 220 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Civil Service Arbitration Reports.

12.

asked the Minister for Finance the civil service grades in respect of which reports have been received from the Civil Service Arbitration Board since 1st December last; the reports which (i) have and (ii) have not been accepted by the Government; and the three further reports which it is expected will shortly be issued.

Since 1st December last two reports have been received from the Civil Service Arbitration Board. They deal with the claims of clerks in the Offices of the Supreme Court and High Court and senior district court clerks in the Dublin Metropolitan District Court Office. These reports will now be considered by the Government in accordance with the scheme of conciliation and arbitration.

One further report on the claim of technical assistants in the Ordnance Survey is expected from the Board shortly.

Would the Minister say what are the three further reports expected shortly to which he made reference last week?

They are the three to which I made reference today. The one with regard to the junior clerks of the Supreme Court and High Court was received yesterday. That was the first one. The third one relating to senior district court clerks in the Dublin Metropolitan District was received today. The second one has not yet been received.

I understood from the Minister's reply last week that these had been received since 1st December last.

They were reported on but the reports had not been received. If I said that I misinformed the Deputy.

I will study the Minister's reply.
