While there is no official information available, the Deputy will no doubt have seen the press reports which suggest that some developments affecting the membership of the European Economic Community may take place during the coming months. It is not yet possible to assess the accuracy of these reports but the Government are continuing to follow closely all developments in this regard.
Has our representative to the EEC got any information on the matter?
There is no firm information but naturally there are continuous reports coming in to the Government.
