The Forestry Division of my Department continues to make every effort to acquire lands for planting in all parts of the country. The Division holds no land in the townland of Letterkeen or its immediate vicinity but 12 offers are under consideration in the area. As all of these cases are in the preliminary stages of investigation there is no prospect of early acquisitions in the area.
