Vol. 221 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Garden of Remembrance.

28.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Minister for Finance what will be the hours of opening of the Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square; and whether attendants will be on duty.

The precise times of the opening and closing of the Garden have not yet been decided, but it is intended to have it opened each day from 10 a.m. at the latest until shortly before sunset. An attendant will be on duty.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary satisfied that this Garden is safe for children to play in?

It will be, yes.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary satisfied about that?

It will be, yes. There will be an attendant on duty at all times.

There is need for a railing to prevent them falling over a ten-feet drop. However, I am sure it will be inspected shortly.
