Vol. 221 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Oughterard (Galway) Land Division.

30.

asked the Minister for Lands what proposals he has for land division in Oughterard, County Galway; and when he expects to put them into effect.

Of an area of some 75 acres at present on hands of the Land Commission in this area, it is expected that about 45 acres will be allotted this spring so as to facilitate the enlargement and re-arrangement of a number of fragmented holdings. Arrangements for the formulation of a scheme for the division of the remainder of the lands are being pushed forward as rapidly as possible.

Proceedings are at present in progress for the voluntary purchase of some 60 acres in this district.

Did the Minister say 45 acres?

This is only for one scheme.
