The acreage of oats sown in 1954 was 533,100 acres. The corresponding figure in 1964 was 288,600 acres.
What action does the Government intend to take to right this in view of the fact that we had an adverse balance last year of £147 million?
That question does not arise.
The point is that tractors do not run on oats.
They are a bit sour about the wild oats they sowed.
