Vol. 221 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing Scheme for Geriatrics.

43.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Minister for Local Government whether any geriatric housing scheme is planned by Dublin Corporation which will contain all the necessary facilities for its occupants.

I understand that apart from their normal programme for the rehousing of elderly persons, no special housing scheme is planned at present by Dublin Corporation to provide comprehensive geriatric facilities for the aged. The general question of the provision of such facilities is under review by my Department at present in conjunction with the comprehensive review of geriatric problems being undertaken by the Minister for Health.
