49.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he will now give his sanction to the application by Kildare County Council for the provision of a sewerage scheme to serve Old Grange, Kill and Gorteenoona, Monasterevan.

50.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will now give his sanction to the application by Kildare County Council for the extension of the Monasterevan sewerage scheme to serve Bull Ring and Kildare Road, Monasterevan.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 49 and 50 together.

I have already approved, in principle, preliminary proposals for the extension of Monasterevan sewerage scheme to serve Old Grange (Gor teenoona), Kill and Ballyfarsoon.

A preliminary report on the proposed further extension of the scheme to serve Bull Ring and Kildare Road, Monasterevan, was submitted to my Department on 9th instant and is under examination.

51.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will now give his sanction to the application by Kildare County Council for the provision of a trunk sewer at Droichead Nua.

Preliminary reports received from the Kildare County Council in relation to this proposal were not sufficiently detailed to enable a proper assessment of the scheme to be made. The council were advised accordingly on 23rd February, 1966, and amended proposals are awaited.

52.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will now sanction the preliminary report and estimate submitted by Kildare County Council in respect of the Ballitore sewerage scheme.

The examination of the preliminary proposals for this scheme has not yet been completed in my Department. When this examination has been finalised a decision will be conveyed to the county council.
