asked the Minister for Finance the cost of floating (1) the £20 million loan at 6 per cent issued at £98½ in November, 1964, and (2) the September, 1965, Government issue of £22.5 million at 6 per cent funding loan at £97. 10. 0 issue, under the following headings (a) the amount of commission paid to the banks, (b) the amount of commission paid to stock-brokers, (c) the amount involved in issuing the loans at £98½ and £97. 10. 0 respectively instead of at par, and (d) the cost of advertising.

I would refer the Deputy to the replies which I gave to two questions on 15th December, 1965, in connection with the loans referred to.

asked the Minister for Finance the cost of floating the £25 million loan at 6¾ per cent at par in November, 1965, under the following headings: (a) the amount of commission paid to the banks, (b) the amount of commission paid to the stockbrokers, and (c) the cost of advertising.

The information requested is (a) £59,438; (b) £13,349; and (c) £5,256.
