Vol. 221 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Schools Mealbreak.

33.

asked the Minister for Education if there is any positive arrangement in existence whereby children attending national schools in the County Borough of Dublin must have a mealbreak, having regard to the starting and finishing time of classes in the schools concerned.

The Rules for National Schools, while stipulating that in the case of a school in which there is only one meeting daily a recreation interval of at least one half-hour should be given, allow the manager to extend that interval to one hour.
