The purpose of the interdepartmental Advisory Committee on Publicity Abroad, established under the aegis of my Department in 1961, is to review suggestions for publicity directed to expanding interest in Irish history and culture, promoting exports and tourism and emphasising the opportunities for profitable investment in modern Ireland. The question of issuing a final report does not arise.
