Vol. 221 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killarney Memorial Park Workers.

9.

asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the knowledge and interest of the Parliamentary Secretary in the development of the Bourn Vincent Memorial Park, Killarney as a national park, he will now arrange to have the wages and conditions of employment of the workers in this park related to those prevailing in other parks in the State, and thus terminate a long-standing grievance.

The duties of the workers in the Bourn Vincent Memorial Park are mainly agricultural and their wages are fixed by reference to that fact. If there is any major change in the administration of the Park and in the nature of the duties, the position of the workers can be reviewed.
