The numbers are (a) 113,879 and (b) 40,597.
In regard to (c) it is estimated that some 21,000 persons in receipt of old age (non-contributory) pensions have no means assessable under the Old Age Pensions Acts. Particulars of the means of recipients of old age contributory pensions are not obtained as there is no means test in respect of these pensions.
