Vol. 222 No. 3

Business of Dáil.

I move:

(1) That the Dáil sit later than 5.30 p.m. and that the hour at which business is to be interrupted be 11 p.m.

(2) That the proceedings (a) in Committee on Finance on the Estimates for Health and Central Mental Hospital for the year ending on 31st day of March, 1967, (b) on Motion in the name of the Minister for Health seeking approval of the proposals contained in the White Paper on the Health Services and their Further Development, and (c) in Committee on Finance and on Report on the Supplementary Estimates for Health, Agriculture, Roinn na Gaeltachta and External Affairs for the year ending on 31st day of March, 1966, if not previously brought to a conclusion shall be brought to a conclusion by putting from the Chair forthwith and successively the questions necessary to bring them to a conclusion; and

(3) That the Order of 28th April, 1965, relating to the taking of divisions does not apply to the business to which this Resolution refers.

The words "at 11 p.m." should have been inserted after "conclusion" in paragraph (2). The time, 11 p.m., was inadvertently omitted.

Is this agreed?

By the Whips?

Agreed by the Whips.

Let us hope anyway that we will finish at 5 o'clock.

I hope so. The Parliamentary Secretary said there was some change in the motion?

Under Standing Orders, it is necessary to fix a time. The motion did not fix a time. Because of a typographical error, it was left out and so it is necessary now to put in the words "at 11 p.m."

But they seem to be in already.

The words are in paragraph (1) but were left out of paragraph (2).

Motion, as altered, agreed to.
