Vol. 222 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Donegal Coast Erosion Grant.

41.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position regarding the coast erosion grant applied for by Donegal County Council in relation to very necessary work at River Row, Moville.

The Commissioners of Public Works have reported to the Donegal County Council on the preliminary examination of this proposal. The Council have not yet replied but in any event in the present financial circumstances consideration of this proposal will have to be deferred.

Did I hear the Parliamentary Secretary correctly when he said he was awaiting a report from the Donegal County Council?

My information is that the report was submitted more than six weeks ago.

As I have already told the House, the council have not yet replied.

Did you receive a report from the Donegal County Council?

How clear can I make it?

You did receive a report and you sent it back to the county council.

Would the Deputy please use the third person?

You are evading the issue by refusing to spend money.

I will have to ask the Deputy to leave the Chamber if he will not cease interrupting. He is interrupting continuously.

That was a supplementary question surely.

That was a supplementary question.
