asked the Minister for Health the percentage increase in work carried out at St. Kevin's Hospital, Dublin in the radiological department in the year 1965 compared with 1960; and whether he is satisfied that the department is sufficiently equipped and staffed for its current needs.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - St. Kevin's Hospital Radiological Department.
107.
Mr. O'Malley
The number of X-ray examinations carried out in St. Kevin's Hospital in 1965-66 was less, by about ten per cent than the number carried out in 1960-61. This reduction was due to the fact that during part of last year a major section of the X-ray department was closed while being refitted with equipment of latest design and greater capacity.
I am satisfied that the X-ray department is sufficiently equipped for its present needs. Proposals which have been submitted by the health authority concerning the radiological staff are at present being considered in my Department.
