Donegal County Council have not yet built any cottage under this scheme. I understand that the first application under the scheme was submitted to the council in July, 1964.

asked the Minister for Local Government what progress has been made regarding the erection of county council cottages at Fahan, County Donegal.
I understand that the needs of applicants in the general Fahan area will be met by three group schemes which are in course of preparation, and by the erection of some isolated rural cottages. Plans are being prepared for a scheme of 16 houses, while sites are being acquired for the two other groups comprising 14 houses. A site for one rural cottage has been acquired by the council, while a site for two further cottages is in process of acquisition.
