Proposals submitted by Bundoran Urban District Council for an amenity development on the station site, including the provision of car and caravan parks were approved in January, 1964, but the project did not proceed. A new scheme for the provision of a car-park only on the site was submitted to my Department in June, 1965, but no proposals for financing the work have been received. In response to representations received from members of the urban district council I have informed the council that if a proposal to use part of the county's main road improvement grant to finance the project is put forward by Donegal County Council, I will consider the proposal.
