The sum of £276,400 is the estimated cost to the Department of Posts and Telegraphs of certain services performed on behalf of my Department. The amounts attributable to the different services are:
Payment of non-contributory old age pensions, £118,000; payment of children's allowances, £96,000; payment of widows' and orphans' non-contributory pensions, £35,350; payment of unemployment assistance, £15,600; sale of supplementary unemployment insurance stamps, £9,000; sale of fuel vouchers, £2,000; other minor services, £450.
