Vol. 222 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Forest Employment.

32.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will give particulars of the service of forestry workers at Cloughjordan forest, County Tipperary (a) who were recently laid off, and (b) who remain in employment at this forest.

It is not the practice to supply details of the service of individual forestry workers. Where men have to be laid off, length of service is always given due weight but other factors such as family and financial circumstances, number of dependants, regularity of attendance and, in particular, work output and attitude to work have also to be taken into consideration.
