Vol. 222 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Street-Widening Schemes.

4.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Minister for Local Government whether any major street-widening schemes are contemplated during this year for the north side of Dublin city.

The formulation of such schemes is a matter for Dublin Corporation.

Work is at present in progress on road-widening schemes in the north side of the city at Baldoyle Road and Gracepark Road, and work is expected to commence, within the present financial year, on schemes at Cappagh Road, Coolock By-pass, Section 2; Howth Summit Road, Section 4; Edenmore Bridge and approaches; and Edenmore Road/Ring Road, Coolock.

Mr. O'Leary

Have compensation arrangements been made with householders and traders whose business is affected or disrupted by these road-widening schemes, if this arises in any of these cases?

I am afraid I would not have that information at the moment.
