Vol. 222 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Valuation of Dublin Property.

8.

asked the Minister for Finance the rateable valuation of the former Dublin Corporation fire station in Thomas Street, Dublin which has been converted into flats for elderly persons; and if, having regard to the very high rents being charged to tenants there to cover the high rates levied thereon, steps will be taken to reduce the valuation in keeping with the new use of the building.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply of 1st March to previous questions by him, in which I explained that I cannot interfere with the statutory procedure relating to the revision of valuations, and that inquiries about the rateability of particular properties should be addressed to the local authorities concerned.
