Vol. 223 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Port Stoppage.

45.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will ensure that all steps are taken to recommence talks between the parties concerned in the Dublin port stoppage; and if he will consider issuing an appeal to both parties to come together.

The parties to this dispute are aware that the Conciliation Service of the Labour Court is available to them and a Conciliation Officer of the Court is, in fact, in touch with the parties at present.

Mr. O'Leary

A bit of advice from the Minister to the manager of the Port and Docks Board to stop shadow-boxing might save us a great deal of trouble.
