Vol. 223 No. 2

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 16 and 17. In accordance with the agreement reached yesterday, all Stages of the Electricity (Special Provisions) Bill, 1966 will be concluded by 4 p.m. Questions will be taken after 4 p.m.

Might I suggest that we agree on a definite time to take the Committee Stage? It is conceivable that if the Second Stage debate lasts too long, there might be no time for the remaining Stages.

That might be a convenient arrangement. I do not know what Deputy Corish thinks of it.

We have five and a half hours, and if we allow two hours for the Committee and Final Stages, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., that should be sufficient.

We can conclude the Second Reading then at 2 p.m. and take the remaining Stages from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Minister will get in to conclude on the Second Stage at 1.45 p.m.
