asked the Minister for Education (a) the total number of superintendents and assistant examiners appointed by his Department in each of the years 1965 and 1966 for the certificate examinations of the Secondary Branch, and (b) the number of secondary teachers who applied for positions as superintendents and assistant examiners in each of those years, and the number appointed.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Superintendents and Assistant Examiners.
40.
The staff of the Secondary Branch of my Department are fully occupied with the arrangements for the holding of the certificate examinations commencing to-day and it would not be feasible at present to divert their attention for the purpose of the research involved in supplying the statistics asked for in the question.
If the Deputy repeats the question in a fortnight's time, I will by then be in a position to supply the information.
