I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a similar question from him on 24th May last. Mortality amongst cattle and sheep in the winter period of 1965-66 was generally higher than in the corresponding period of 1964-65 but statistical information in the matter is not available.
Is it not a fact that they died from starvation when the Minister did not provide the fodder for them? He is not able to answer that one.
