The plans referred to in the first part of the Deputy's question relate to a County Control Centre which it is proposed to provide as part of the Civil Defence arrangements for County Galway. Such centres are proposed for all counties.
In the case of Galway the local authority has sought my approval to provide its centre in conjunction with a proposed new vocational school. I will convey a decision in the matter to the local authority as soon as possible.
